Wednesday 25 March

Elaine's grandson Marcus asked her to make him a quilt with a musical theme, as he plays 5 different instruments. He particularly loves the trombone, Elaine managed to find a musical panel and fabric with a similar design and adapted a pattern to suit. Even the backing has music themed fabric. Elaine also completed the quilting. Marcus loves his quilt, Elaine had to wrestle it off his bed to show it.

Wednesday 18th March

It was a postponed in-house demo this month.
Faye had promised to show us the intricacies of her cutting machine.
And very quick and accurate it was too.

And here is a quilt top Faye made earlier using the alphabet letters from a quite expensive die set.

Convoy. Joan Flack made this simple but cute little boy quilt. The wheels are all appliqued from a circle fabric which proved just the right thing.

Beth has been busy making baby quilts for family and friends.

Crossroads. This very complicated looking pattern was made by Julie Von Stanke

Another completed cross stitch by Pat Hetherington.

Anne Finch made this quilt for their travelling truck.

Another quilt from Beth. This one was quite quick as it was made using Faye's cutting machine. The fringing is all done during the fabric cutting stage and saves a lot of work at the end!

Three years in the making for Elizabeth Dean. The fabric she received as a present was so beautiful it took some time to find a pattern that would feature it. In the end, a friend put on the binding so it would finally be finished.
