2 June 2021

So it is officially winter in Mackay and it gives us good reason for why we live here. What a beautifully sunny and warm day to share stitching with friends.

Deane and Robyn were making adjustments to the show roster and entries. It is only two weeks away now and entries are due in on Friday.

Lesley was helping Kay in designing a motorbike quilt for her grandson. Hopefully, Kay will be able to make it before Lesley returns from holidays, but there are sure to be others in the club who can come to her aid with helpful ideas. It's one of the great benefits of belonging to a quilting group.

One of the other Lesleys made a very delicious carrot cake for morning tea. Fancy there being three Lesleys in the one club and all present today! And the one leaving on holidays won the Badge Draw today. Will she have time to spend it before she has to pack the caravan?

This is the third quilt Robyn had ever made and she has decided to enter it in the show. It has lived at her daughter's place for a few years and the colours are much warmer than they appear in the photo. Robyn had it quilted at Jucol.

And here is Liz with this week's table runner offerings. Same patterns as two weeks ago, just in different fabrics and looking very different.

And Lesley showed her Colour Challenge quilt which was having sleeves sewn on. If there is space at the show that needs filling, there will be a display of the Colour Challenge quilts. There is no photo because the Colour Challenge photos are already on the blog in the September 2020 post. (If your quilt isn't there, you need to send a photo of it to the blog person.)
