Lesley presented this month's interesting BOM called Rising Sun. A simple version of the old classic made by slicing squares on the 60 degree ruler line.  Deane's needle turn class will come in handy for appliqueing the centre of this block.  Looking forward to seeing the results. Those splashes of yellow should make it bright.

 Our mini workshop of the month was Needleturn Applique.

 Deane explained and demonstrated the techniques, tools and best tips of doing needleturn. 

Members brought along a small piece to practice on. Joan is trying the finer points of the blind stitch.
