Time for a bit of fun, this months block of the month is a take on crazy patch, join left over pieces together using straight of grain place top piece down on an angle to the foundation piece to create lots of shapes. trimming seams to 1/4' as you go.  Trim piece to form 6 1/2 inch block. Theme colour is solid red.

Diane Hope hand coloured all the fabric used in this quilt. Diane wanted this quilt to be soft and snuggly to keep a friend warm during her dialysis, so used polar fleece for the backing. Di chose an open stipple pattern which worked beautifully on her long arm quilting machine.
The recent 4 day retreat at Broken River Eungella produced some amazing works, Joan Flack worked outside of her comfort colour pallet to show case these beautiful fabrics.
