Winter in Mackay starts bringing the sunseekers back. Welcome to Liz who made a rushed trip from SA so she could make today's meeting. It's good to have her back. And she was already handquilting a little blanket of love.
Greenmount is over and many thanks to Brenda and her fantastic group of assistants.
Now to start getting ready for the Mackay Show. Some people spent a lot of time this morning stamping raffle tickets. But we are a patchwork group and there will be some sewing soon!
Only a couple of finished things to show today.
Robyn Mc has been given a bling teddy bear. Carefully sewn with hundreds, maybe thousands, of sequins by Mary. That's a grateful friend! (We know we need some photo taking advice but next time the president will get out of the way!)
Fay K has finished a quilt for a new great-niece. Molly's Quilt is a sweet little 9-patch variation and entirely hand quilted. It is such a delicate soft quilt. Molly will just love to cuddle up in it we're sure.
A sample of the 25 bright primary colour Convoy blocks that came in for our Block of the Month Bonanza this month. Iris was so pleased to get back to the sewing machine that she made three. And now she's got some more sewing to do as she won the draw! Congratulations Iris and we are so glad you've found that sewing bug again.
