Wednesday 7 November 2018

Although the weather is heating up we still get a lovely cool breeze through the hall but I think it did keep some of our ladies at home.  Still a good number with 29 Ladies
Lucky Jean once again won the Badge Drawer

We had a little project to carry out today, The Rotary Club had asked us to make some little bags for 'Sharing the Dignity' Charity.  They will be filled with little treats and necessities and given to ladies in need.  Unfortunately we set ourselves up in the corner where it was hot, but with 2 ladies sewing, would have been 3 if Marilyn's machine didn't play up! I think there were 5 bags made.  Many ladies opted to take material home to complete the bags in the cool of their homes.

Delma reminded us that it is Sewing weekend this Saturday at the Womens Centre.  Meeting day is next week as well.  Still collected money for our Christmas Lunch at Church on Palmer.

Julie has made this striking Quilt from a McCalls pattern for her sister's caravan.  Aptly called 'Mocha Meringue'

Liz has whizzed up another quilt for the Womens Shelter a beautiful cozy Shaggy Quilt

Relaxing and Chatting
